| Transport Training
Academy has on staff a Certified Instructor to train at
our location or to train at your facility. Paul Daoust
can sign government recognized certificates for the following
courses. All on site courses require a minimum of 4 participants.
Individual training can be arranged at our facility, call
to see when the next course is being offered.
Lift Truck Operator 8 hour course with 1 additional hour for the
practical test Lift Truck courses are offered on a regular basis at our training
facility for individuals. On site training may be preferable if you have equipment
the operators are familiar with.
Any employee operating a lift truck in Ontario is required by law to have an
Operator's License
W.H.M.I.S. 4 hour certified course offered at the customer's site or at our
facility.
If you have any controlled products on your premises, your employees must have
WHMIS training certificates. If you have any questions about whether the products

Transportation of Dangerous Goods a 4 hour course resulting in a
government recognized certificate. Our site or yours.
Drivers transporting Dangerous Goods must have this certificate. Did you know
that if you have a service truck and it carries even small amounts of Dangerous
Goods, the Driver must be certified.
Commercial Defensive Driving a course designed to make drivers safer and
better. This is an 8 hour course.
Many companies with drivers whose records are not acceptable, will retrain
with this course before letting a valuable asset go. A small investment for a
better and safer driver.
Cargo & Load Securement This is an 6 hour training course put together
by our staff to teach drivers all they will need to know about how to comply with
the new North American Cargo Security Standard which started being enforced
July 1, 2005.
Improperly secured loads are very costly to drivers and companies when tickets
are issued, and add to CVOR points upon conviction.
Backing and Trailer Handling A four hour refresher course especially
designed by our staff for Drivers who have recently had an incident when backing
or parking their trailers. This course at our site will allow our trained
instructors to renew the backing and handling skills that so many drivers get
careless about, resulting in damage to your equipment.
