Welcome to Transport Training Academy

December 20, 2002

I would like to take this opportunity to forward my sincere appreciation to the staff of Transport Training Academy. I graduated the seven week course and received my A - Z license on December 19, 2002.

In my opinion, the trainers and office staff at Transport Training Academy went far above and beyond what I expected of them. I would like to thank them for their professional advice as well as their assistance in a good job placement. I would like to give special mention and thanks to head trainer Chris Cooper. Chris was very patient, professional and easy to get along with. I feel Chriss is a key to Transport Training Academy's success.

I would like to close by saying that before I began Transport Training Academy, I researched other area schools and found the program as well as the staff of Transport Training Academy to be very personable as well as far superior to the competition. Also please feel free to contact me for recommendation to this school or to ask any questions in regards to Transport Training Academy.

Dear Transport Training Academy:

I am sending you this small letter to say thank you for helping me to train for my AZ. I am also very thankful for the proper training so that I could get my AZ. You school is a very good school and I will recommend it to any person that asks me which school they should attend. I would also like to say that your trainers were very flexible with me while I was milking cows first, then coming to school. Keep up the good work!

A letter of endorsement:

I'm writing this letter to thank the instructors and staff at Transport Training Academy and to let potential students know of your excellent program. If you want to learn to drive a truck, this is the place to go.

Probably the classroom part of most schools is similar, but when it comes to actually driving the truck, this school is head and shoulders above the rest. The instructors that I had were all rich in actual trucking experience and each of the trucks was a little different so that if you could drive all of these units you can drive most anything.

It wasn't long into the program that I was pulling actual loads and backing into real docks, also dealing with real receivers.

I felt that learning the pre-trip routine would be trouble but not with a little coaching, it was actually quite easy. I passed my MTO driving exam on the first try, not having any trouble at all.

The air brake course that Scott offers is second to none and a real bargain in price.

After I received my license I started my border crossing course that consists of hooking onto actual loads and delivering them, along with a company driver, to a point in the U.S. After delivering them, you pick up a return load coming back to Canada. I know of no other school offering this valuable experience. By the time I finished my border crossing experience, I had received three solid offers of employment in the trucking industry. I chose a job that has regular daytime hours and the yard is only 15 minutes from my home.

In closing I'd like to thank everyone I had dealings with at the academy and let you know how happy I am in my new position. Thank you Scott, Chris, Kevin, Doug, Sean and most of all Randy. I had a blast and my offer to you guys for media day at the track still stands. Keep in touch.

John Burbridge.

Dear Academy,

It's been about eight months since I first tackled my dream of driving the big rig and seeing the country side. Had it not been for the great planning and diligent instruction of the Transport Training staff, I would never have reached my goal.

In all aspects of the truck driver occupation, map reading and trip planning, log book keeping, paper work especially related to trans-border crossing, pre and post trip inspections, and most importantly, driving foward as well as backward, I was thoroughly instructed and trained. Scott, Coop, Andy, Paul, Doug & Kevin has much patience with me, fine-tuning the driving skills of handling the tractor-trailer combination.

In conclusion I'd like, particularly, to thank Kevin who did the four week, on-the-job training with me, enabling me to now work for Transport Sales and Service and reach my dream.

Dear Scott and Training Staff:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the hard work and dedication that you put forth during my instruction at the training academy.

During my experiences, I obtained a great deal of knowledge and awareness, but most importantly, I accomplish what I had set out to do; operate a commercial verhicle in a safe manner.

All of your hard work and dilligence will not be forgotten. Once again, thank you all very much for your help in achieving my goal.
